Currently, more and more meal boxes are on the market. Other websites map food providers and provide food delivery services. In addition, the number of virtual communities that are active in food is increasing.
Why online stores and web platforms?

Online selling offers the possibility to provide more information to the consumer. Extended descriptions, specifications, photos and videos - like the farmers' videos at Willem & Drees - help consumers get more knowledge about all products from all over the world. This allows consumers to make more informed choices. In addition, these data provide the opportunity to apply personalization and advise consumers in the field of nutrition.
